Item Query / Report Writer

While Galvin provides over 325 ready to use outputs, we also provide the tools for you to design your own:
Report Writer: This easy to use tool allows you to create custom reports by specifying what columns you want to see and what sorting and totaling you want on the report.
You ask for the columns in "end result" terms, such as "Net Sales" or "Item Contribution" - but you don't need to know any of the data structures within the system, any programming languages or even how to do the calculation - we do all that for you.
Virtually any number in Galvin can be displayed in the Report Writer and they can be expressed in units, dollars, percentages, indexed, this year/last year etc. etc.
For sorting or totaling, you just specify how you want the report produced: by Department, Vendor, Buyer, DMM, and many other choices.
Query: This is similar in concept to the Report Writer in that you just ask for the end result you want to see. You can have an unlimited number of predefined queries and they can be easily invoked from anywhere in the system [by just pointing to an Item for example]. Usually, because of our advanced data structures, these queries execute in less than a second!
And like the Report Writer, there are no programming languages or data structures to learn.
Downloading: The output from both the Report Writer and the Query can be easily downloaded into Excel, Access etc.
This downloading is performed real-time and takes just seconds to complete.
