Material Requirements Planning
[This is an Optional Component of Galvin].
The manages assemblies [aka kits], providing the tools to plan and forecast the customer orderable Item and have the system explode that plan or forecast down to the individual component needs.
This module would be used if you bought components and assembled them into kits [with the kit being what was sold to the customer]. This module can also be used for managing fabric or greige goods or any other components you buy to be able to manufacture/sell/package finished goods.
Components can also be planned and forecasted to be sold alone in the Offer even when that Offer uses the Component in one or more kits.
Material Requirements Planning will combine all of the uses of these components with the final result being an expression of need [or excess] at the component level.
